Birmingham University Library 360 Virtual Tour

The new library building at Birmingham University is an impressive space, packed full of academic spaces and of course, books. The university required a way of marketing it’s newest build online and a virtual tour was decided to be the best way of doing this. We were contacted and asked to produce a tour that shows off 6 key locations within the library with added virtual reality (VR) function.

On the day of the shoot we helped advise the team onsite as to the best locations for each scene and helped ensure the spaces were ready for shooting. The tour is produced solely in HTML5 giving it the best accessibility across devices. VR functionality has been added allowing users on smartphones to slip the tour into a Google Cardboard headset to virtually navigate through the tour.
