Get patients and visitors to the right entrance, first time
Hospital sites grow over decades and the signs never quite keep up. Signposted puts the whole site on the patient's phone before they leave home: which entrance for which department, where to park, how long the walk is, and the step-free way in. Linked from the appointment letter, it takes a job off reception and the volunteers at the door.
- Link it from the appointment letter
- Patient, visitor and staff audiences
- Step-free routes and blue-badge parking

Built for a site people arrive at anxious
Plain words, big buttons, directions from where they are standing.
Departments and wards as places
Every department with its entrance, floor, opening hours and a photo of the door, so people recognise it when they get there.
The right car park
Patient, visitor, blue-badge and drop-off parking as separate places, each with directions to the entrances they serve and a note on charges and time limits.
Patient, visitor, staff
Three audiences with their own to-do lists: bring your letter, visiting hours are two until eight, staff parking is permit only.
Step-free and accessible routes
Draw the step-free route and mark the lifts, accessible toilets and changing places, filterable in one tap.
Transport and shuttles
Bus stops, the hospital shuttle and the taxi rank, with timetables and a link to live times.
Deep links for letters and texts
Every department has its own link: put it in the appointment letter or the reminder text and the page opens on that department with directions.
The hospital template
Departments and wards, entrances, parking, emergency, food and accessible routes, with patient, visitor and staff audiences.
Try the school demoThe demo is a school; the hospital template works the same way with its own categories.
Owned by the communications team
No developer, no procurement of a wayfinding system, no app.

Frequently asked questions
Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Just get in touch, or even better, book a video consultation.
Is it accessible?
It is built with accessibility first: keyboard and screen-reader navigation, large tap targets, high contrast, no information carried by colour alone, and the places list as a text equivalent of the map. We are working through a WCAG 2.2 AA audit during early access.
Does it store any patient data?
No. The visitor page sets no tracking cookies and collects nothing unless the person fills in the enquiry form, which you can leave switched off.
Do visitors need an app?
No. The page opens in any phone browser from a QR code or a link, with no download or sign-up. To-do list ticks are remembered on the visitor's phone.
Can we change it ourselves?
Yes, that is the point. Sign in, edit, publish. Changes are live in seconds, so the page can be updated for an event, a term or a road closure without waiting for anyone.
What does it cost, and how do we get access?
Signposted is in early access by invitation: ask us and we will set up your account. It is free to use while we finish it, we will confirm pricing before anything is charged, and our tour clients will get it included with their tour.
Need the inside photographed?
We have photographed NHS and private healthcare sites since 2008, including laboratories and theatres. Tell us about the site and we will quote a 360 tour that drops straight into the page.
