Signposted™ Expo

Every stand on the plan, every lead to the exhibitor

Upload the hall plan from your floor-plan contractor, paste in the exhibitor list, and the show has a map on every visitor's phone: search by company, product category or stand number, tap Directions from the stand you are standing next to, and send your details to any stand you want to hear from. The lead lands in the exhibitor's inbox with you in copy, and every exhibitor keeps their own entry current through a private link. No app, no printing, no scanner hire.

  • Search by company, product or stand number
  • Leads straight to the exhibitor, you in copy
  • Exhibitors update their own entries

What’s included

What Signposted Expo does

The visitor map, the exhibitor directory and the lead capture in one page, built from the plan you already have.

The hall plan as the map

Upload the floor plan as a JPG or PNG and the stands sit on it exactly as printed. Visitors pinch to zoom, filter by product category and search by company name or stand number. Works with no signal once it has opened, which matters in a steel-framed hall.

Directions from the stand you are next to

Every stand has its number on it, so "which stand are you next to?" is the universal you-are-here at a show. Type it, or pick an entrance, and the route draws along the aisles with the distance and walking time. No signs, no beacons, nothing to install.

Send my details to this stand

A button on every exhibitor's entry. The visitor adds their name, company, email and what they are interested in, ticks consent, and the lead goes to the exhibitor's inbox with the organiser in copy. The Leads tab lists them all with a per-stand filter and a CSV for each exhibitor.

Exhibitors keep their own entry current

Each exhibitor gets a private link to edit their company name, description, logo, website, product categories, demo times, an offer and where their leads go. Changes are live within a minute, so the organiser is not retyping three hundred entries the week before the show.

Paste in the exhibitor list

Stand, company, website, email, categories, description: paste the rows from your spreadsheet and the stands appear as pins, matched to existing stand numbers so a second paste updates rather than duplicates. Drag each pin onto its stand and you are done.

Product categories as tags

An exhibitor can be "Machinery & automation" and "Software & services" at once. Tags show on the entry, and the category filters match them, so "who does labelling?" finds every stand that does, not just the ones filed under it.

The seminar programme on the plan

Talks by day and time with the theatre pinned on the plan and a route to it. The Right now panel carries the organiser's notices: the keynote is filling up, the café is queuing, breakdown starts at four.

Live busyness and offers

Floor managers mark the café, registration and the busy demo stands from a staff link; exhibitors post time-limited offers that appear as tags on their pin. After a couple of days the page learns the pattern and shows "usually busy at lunchtime".

Trails and audiences

Curated trails such as "automation highlights" or "sustainable packaging" walk visitors from stand to stand. Visitors, exhibitors, press and buyers each get their own welcome and to-do list from the lanyard colour they are wearing.

See it working

See it on Westbury Packaging Expo

Westbury is a fictional two-day packaging show with 36 exhibitors on a hall plan. The demo has a show clock (morning, lunchtime, afternoon), live busyness, offers, the seminar programme, a working stand enquiry form (it does not send) and an exhibitor edit page.

The stand entry

Company, tags, offer, website and one button

Tap a stand and the entry opens with the exhibitor's logo, product categories, their current offer, a link to their website, Directions, and "Send my details". Live busyness shows when a demo is drawing a crowd.

  • Search finds "C3", "Wells" and "weighing" alike
  • Consent wording the visitor sees, with the organiser named
  • Offers expire on their own
The organiser's view

The whole hall, the live picture and the leads

On a laptop in the organiser's office the plan fills the screen with the exhibitor directory and the Right now panel beside it. The builder adds a Leads tab with a per-stand filter and CSV, and an Exhibitors tab with every private edit link ready for a mail merge.

  • Stand numbers, companies and lead emails in one table
  • Notices and the show phase from the Live tab
  • Insights: what visitors searched for and could not find
The exhibitor's link

Exhibitors look after their own entry

The link in the exhibitor manual opens a form on their phone: name, description, logo, website, categories, demo times, an offer and the email for leads. Save, and the show map updates within a minute. No account, no password.

  • Keys can be rotated if a link leaks
  • The organiser still edits everything from the builder
How it works

Live before the exhibitor manual goes out

The plan and the exhibitor list take an afternoon. The exhibitors do the rest.

  1. 1

    Upload the hall plan

Any JPG or PNG from your floor-plan contractor. Tell the builder how wide the hall is in metres and draw the aisles once, so routes have real distances.

  2. 2

    Paste in the exhibitor list

From your sales spreadsheet: stand, company, website, email, categories, description. Drag the pins onto their stands.

  3. 3

    Send exhibitors their links

Download the edit links as a CSV and mail-merge them into the exhibitor manual. Exhibitors fill in the rest.

  4. 4

Put the link in the visitor emails

The confirmation email, the pre-show reminder and the badge all point at one address that never changes. Add the show clock and the staff link for the floor managers on the day.

Frequently asked questions

How do visitors find the map if we are not printing QR codes?

Through the channels you already use: the registration confirmation email, the pre-show reminder, the show website and the badge. The address never changes and the page is a normal link, so it goes wherever a link goes. Signs with QR codes are available if you want them, but nothing depends on them: "which stand are you next to?" replaces the you-are-here sign, because every stand already has its number on it.

Where do the leads go, and who owns them?

Each lead is emailed to the exhibitor's chosen address with the organiser in copy, stored in the builder's Leads tab, and exportable as a CSV per stand or for the whole show. The visitor sees the exhibitor's name and the organiser's name in the consent line before they send. You decide whether lead capture is included in the stand price or sold as an upgrade; switching it on for a stand is one email address.

Can exhibitors upload their logo?

Exhibitors can paste a link to their logo; the organiser can upload one from the builder. Direct upload from the exhibitor link is coming.

What about several halls or floors?

One plan per page today; a show across two halls can run two pages with a link between them. A floor switcher for multi-hall and multi-floor shows is next on the roadmap and is being built for Signposted Expo first.

Does it do session booking or badge scanning?

No. Seminar programme, yes; seat booking and lead scanning hardware, no. Signposted Expo replaces the printed show guide and the stand-side lead scanner for most exhibitors, and links out to your registration system for everything else.

Will it cope with the hall Wi-Fi?

The page stores itself, the plan and the exhibitor list on the phone the first time it opens, so search, the plan and directions keep working when the hall network gives up. Live busyness, offers and enquiries catch up when the connection comes back.

Do visitors need an app?

No. The page opens in any phone browser from a QR code or a link, with no download or sign-up. To-do list ticks are remembered on the visitor's phone.

Can we change it ourselves?

Yes, that is the point. Sign in, edit, publish. Changes are live in seconds, so the page can be updated for an event, a term or a road closure without waiting for anyone.

What does it cost, and how do we get access?

Signposted is in early access by invitation: ask us and we will set up your account. It is free to use while we finish it, we will confirm pricing before anything is charged, and our tour clients will get it included with their tour.

Want the stands photographed in 360?

We photograph trade shows and attach a 360 of each stand to its entry, so exhibitors have a record of the build and visitors can look round from the map. Tell us about the show and we will quote.

No obligation. No travel charges anywhere in mainland UK.
