AI Face Replacement for School Virtual Tours
A school tour feels right with pupils in it. We keep them in shot, in their uniforms and in the spaces they use, and replace every real face with an AI-generated one, so no child in your tour can be recognised.
- From £700
- No travel charges in mainland UK
- DBS-checked photographers

Why replace faces in a school tour?
Families want to see a school with children in it: the energy of a classroom, the theatre on a rehearsal afternoon, pupils reading in the library. But schools are increasingly cautious about publishing pupils’ faces online. Photographs on school websites can be copied, and there is growing concern about real children’s images being taken and misused, including to make AI-generated images and videos.
Until now the choice has been an empty tour, pupils carefully kept out of shot, or faces blurred, which draws the eye and looks unsettling in a 360. AI face replacement gives you a fourth option. Pupils stay in the scene, but every face is replaced with a face that does not belong to any real child.

How it works
- We photograph a normal school day. Pupils go about their lessons and activities while we capture the 360s, just as on any of our school shoots.
- Every face is replaced. Each real face in each scene is swapped for an AI-generated face, fitted to the pose, angle and lighting so it sits naturally in the photograph. Uniforms, hair and the scene itself stay as they were.
- We check every scene. We look over each 360 by eye, including people in the background, before the tour is put together.
- You approve the tour. You see the finished tour, with every scene, before it goes live.

In a live tour
Our tour for Crosfields School in Reading is the first built this way: 32 spaces with pupils in many of them, from the Theatre to the libraries and the science labs, and not one real face. It is also a good example of everything else a school, college or university virtual tour can include.

Things to know
AI face replacement changes faces, not the rest of the photograph, so uniforms, badges and the school itself are still recognisable, as they should be. It is a way of reducing the risk of pupils’ images being misused, not a replacement for your own photography and safeguarding policies, and we are happy to talk it through with your safeguarding lead. All our photographers are DBS checked.
What AI face replacement gives you
For schools that want a tour full of school life, without publishing pupils’ faces.
A tour that looks lived in
Lessons, clubs and break times as they really are, rather than empty classrooms photographed in the holidays.
No real faces published
Every pupil’s face is replaced with an AI-generated face, so no child in the tour can be identified from it.
Matched to the scene
Each new face is fitted to the pose, the light and the angle of the original, so the 360 looks natural.
Less to manage on consent
You can photograph a normal school day without leaving out every pupil whose family has not given photo consent.
Checked by eye
We look over every scene before it goes live, and you see the finished tour before it is published.
Any of our school tours
Available on bespoke 360 tours for schools, colleges and nurseries, alongside the usual photography on the same visit.

Testimonials
See what schools, colleges, and universities think of our virtual tours. Clients often tell us how much they value the flexibility of our platform, and how it helps them showcase facilities, engage prospective students, and present their campuses in a way that really stands out.
One of the things we love most is how easy the platform is to use. Editing is straightforward, and the ability to make instant updates or create multiple tours at no extra cost gives us so much flexibility. It’s been great to have such control over our content without needing any technical expertise.Holly ApplebeeThe Duke of York's Royal Military School
The CMS has been really easy to use and flexible to all the spaces we’ve included. We’re so pleased with the virtual tour. It’s good to know how easy it will be to make updates and changes, as I know there will be changes and updates to how we use our facilities in the future! An added benefit was being able to share the virtual tour with my CEO/Director, prior to publication, and to be able to add navigation points, direction arrows and additional content; films, links and more.Helen MooreTreloars School & College
360 Virtual Tours have been an excellent partner. They were incredibly efficient in capturing high-quality shots of our school for the virtual tour, completing the project swiftly. Their CMS platform is user-friendly and boasts a wealth of features, enabling us to create a far more engaging and informative virtual tour than we could have achieved previously.Sarah-Jane BarkerFarringtons School
Frequently asked questions
Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Just get in touch, or even better, book a video consultation.
Will people be able to tell the faces are AI-generated?
The new faces are fitted to the pose and lighting of each scene, so the tour looks natural. We check every scene by eye before it goes live.
Do we still need photo consent from parents?
That is for your school’s own policy to decide. No real pupil’s face appears in the finished tour, but uniforms and the school are still recognisable, so we suggest talking it through with your safeguarding lead.
Can you do this on an existing tour?
If we photographed your current tour, get in touch and we will look at the scenes with pupils in them and tell you what is possible.
