Why manufacturers commission virtual tours
Factories are loud, busy and governed by health and safety, so every site visit costs time and carries risk. A virtual tour lets a buyer in another country walk your production line, a recruit see where they would work, and an auditor check a process, all without a hard hat. Our tours have marketed new facilities for Airbus, supported recruitment for Cox Powertrain and formed part of a PR toolkit for Qualcomm.
Marketing, training or both
The same tour can carry a public layer for customers and a password-protected layer for staff induction, safety briefings and training, each with its own hotspots. Aerial 360 scenes show the scale of a site; ground scenes show the detail of each line.
Working on a live site
We shoot around shifts, follow your PPE and permit-to-work rules, and can photograph with lines running or stopped. A single plant is usually captured in a day.

A photographer captures each scene on full-frame DSLR kit, five to ten minutes per scene. Drone 360s and still photography can be added on the same visit.

Build and launch
Every scene is individually edited and built into your branded tour. A standard bespoke tour is supplied for your website; a 360 Studio tour goes live on our platform with editing access for your team. Allow one to four weeks depending on size.

Can you photograph a working production line?
Yes. We work around shifts and safety rules, wear the required PPE and can shoot during planned downtime if machinery must be static. Sensitive equipment or documents can be blurred or masked before the tour goes live.
Can the tour be kept private?
Yes. Tours can be password protected or restricted to your intranet, which suits recruitment previews, supplier audits and investor presentations that should not be public.
How do factories use their virtual tours?
Airbus used its tour to show a new wing integration centre to engineers worldwide, Cox Powertrain uses its tour for recruitment, and others use theirs for site inductions, customer visits and stakeholder engagement.
Is a Matterport scan or a bespoke tour better for a factory?
Large, complex sites usually suit a bespoke tour: fewer, carefully chosen scenes with hotspots explaining each process. Matterport works well for smaller units where an accurate floor plan or measurements are useful.
