Training with a virtual tour

A new starter who has already walked the building, seen the fire exits and opened the safety procedures at the machine they apply to arrives on day one prepared. A remote auditor can check a site without flying to it. A franchise can show every location the standard it expects. That is what a training tour does: the same 360 capture used for marketing, with a private layer of hotspots for procedures, videos, checklists and documents.

What makes it work

Everything is editable on 360 Studio, so when a process changes the hotspot changes with it. Tours can be password-protected, versioned for different teams or sites, and tracked with built-in analytics or your own Google Analytics.

Cost

Training tours are built on 360 Studio and start from £750, priced on the number of scenes, plus the 360 Studio licence from £150 a year that covers hosting, the editor and analytics, with no travel charges in mainland UK. If you already have a marketing tour with us on 360 Studio, a training layer can usually be added without a new shoot.

What’s included

What a training tour includes

The features teams use for onboarding, compliance and auditing.

Procedures where they apply

Attach risk assessments, method statements, videos and checklists to the exact location, machine or room they cover.

Edit in real time

Update a hotspot the moment a procedure changes, with no new shoot and no developer.

Password-protected versions

Separate tours for public marketing, staff induction and contractor access, each with its own content.

Analytics

See which scenes and hotspots have been viewed, and export the data for your training records.

Multiple projects

Duplicate a tour for another team, language or site and keep the branding consistent across an estate.

Works anywhere

Phones, tablets, desktops and kiosks, with no app to install and keyboard and screen-reader support built in.

Two ways to build it

Standard bespoke or 360 Studio?

Both start with the same photography, but they are different styles of tour, built and navigated differently, and they suit different projects.

Standard bespoke tour

Built offline by our team as a finished, self-contained tour and supplied for your website, intranet or kiosk. Content is fixed at launch and we make any later changes for you. Best for smaller projects and single locations, with no yearly fee.

  • From £350, no ongoing fee
  • Best for smaller projects and single locations
  • Hosted on your site or ours
  • Changes made by us on request

360 Studio tour

A different style of tour, hosted on 360 Studio, our platform with a content management system. Your team edits scenes, hotspots and branding, duplicates the tour for new audiences and reads the analytics. Best for larger projects and anything that needs updating regularly.

  • From £750, plus a platform and hosting licence from £150 a year
  • Best for larger projects and campuses
  • Edit it yourself whenever things change
  • Analytics, collaborators and password protection
How it works

From first message to a tour you control

Four steps, one named contact, and a tour your team can keep current.

  1. 1

    Quote

Tell us about the building and what the tour is for. A clear, no-obligation price, with no travel charges anywhere in mainland UK.

  2. 2

    Plan

We agree the scene list, navigation and hotspot content with you. Our preparation checklist gets each space camera-ready.

  3. 3

    Shoot

A photographer captures each scene on full-frame DSLR kit, five to ten minutes per scene. Drone 360s and still photography can be added on the same visit.

  4. 4

    Build and launch

Every scene is individually edited and built into your branded tour on 360 Studio. You review a draft, we refine it, then it goes live with editing access and a short onboarding for your team. Allow one to four weeks depending on size.

Testimonials

Almac chose us to help to solve their international auditing problem

Almac selected our 360 Studio platform to address their international auditing challenges. With our solution, they can now conduct audits remotely, ensuring consistency and efficiency across their global operations, no matter where their teams are based.

The platform is exceptionally intuitive, enabling us to swiftly modify or update our projects. This capability ensures our offerings remain dynamic and engaging. Matthew, lead photographer on the Almac projects, had the following to add: The Almac virtual auditing tours allow the team to cover sites in the USA, Europe, and Singapore, all from a central online location. This has significantly reduced the need for international travel.

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Just get in touch, or even better, book a video consultation.

How is a training tour different from a marketing tour?

The photography is the same; the content is different. Training tours use hotspots to hold procedures, safety notices, PDF documents, video demonstrations and quiz links, and are often password protected rather than public.

Can we restrict who sees the tour?

Yes. Tours built on 360 Studio can be password protected, and you can create separate versions for different departments, sites or languages from the same set of scenes.

Can our own team update the content?

Yes. 360 Studio lets you edit hotspots, rename scenes, swap documents and add new areas without coming back to us, so procedures stay current.

Do training tours work in VR headsets?

Yes. Tours can be viewed in VR headsets as well as on phones, tablets and desktops, as we did for Tata Steel's site induction tour.
