DP World Southampton Container Port 360 Virtual Tour

DP World specialise in port terminal operations and have locations throughout the globe. In the UK they operate a number of container ports, Southampton being one of them. We were approached by port management to help them create a new way of providing an overview of their operation that could be used as a both a marketing tool and to provide information for truck operators.

We started with an aerial drone 360, shot from approximately 350ft to give the perfect overview of the port. 20 ground based scenes were then captured around the port highlighting areas of interest and important truck operation areas, with information points added throughout the tour giving information of processes and procedures.

A technically challenging virtual tour (check out the crane tour, 70m up with cab views and the top of the A-frame!) that required some creative editing to give a seamless result. DP World were delighted with the end result.
