Saxton 4x4 Matterport Virtual Tour
A Matterport 3D virtual tour of the Saxton 4x4 showroom, letting buyers walk the forecourt and showroom online before they visit.
Saxton 4x4 is one of the UK's largest independent 4x4 and premium vehicle dealers, with a showroom that holds a large stock of vehicles under one roof. Buyers frequently travel long distances to visit, so the dealership wanted a way for them to look around the showroom online first.
We captured the showroom as a Matterport 3D tour using a Pro3 LiDAR scanner. The result is a walk-through that a buyer can explore at their own pace, with a dollhouse view of the whole showroom and the ability to move between areas as if they were on site.
Why Matterport for a showroom
Large retail spaces suit Matterport well. The scanner captures the whole floor quickly, the model gives an accurate sense of scale and stock, and the tour can be embedded on the dealer's website and shared by link on social media. Mattertags can be added to point out particular areas or vehicles, and the model can be re-scanned when the showroom changes.
