What is a bespoke 360 virtual tour?

A bespoke tour is photographed scene by scene on full-frame cameras, then built into an interface designed around your brand and your building. Visitors move between spaces at their own pace, open hotspots for text, galleries, video and PDFs, and follow a navigation that makes sense of a campus, a factory floor or a multi-building site. It comes in two styles. A standard bespoke tour is finished by us and supplied for your website with no ongoing fee, and suits smaller projects and single locations. A 360 Studio tour is a different style of tour, hosted on our platform with a content management system so your team can update it whenever the building changes, for a licence from £150 a year; it suits larger projects and anything that needs updating regularly.

Who chooses bespoke over Matterport?

Organisations that need branding, storytelling and control: schools and universities, manufacturers, care providers, venues and anyone marketing more than one building. If you need measurements and a dollhouse view of a single property, a Matterport tour may fit better, and we will say so.

What does it cost and how long does it take?

Standard bespoke tours start at £350, which covers the shoot, the build and the first scene. Extra scenes are added at a much lower rate, around £75 each, so the price per scene falls quickly: a ten-scene tour is roughly £1,000, not ten times the starting price. 360 Studio tours start from £750 plus a licence from £150 a year. Allow one to four weeks from shoot to launch depending on the size of the building. We have been producing virtual tours since 2008 for clients from Oxford and Cambridge colleges to Airbus and Netflix.

What’s included

What every bespoke tour includes

High-resolution 360 photography, a branded interface and full editing control are standard. These are the features clients use most.

Virtual tour hotspots

Interactive hotspots

Add text, images, galleries, video, PDFs and links to any scene, so the tour explains your building as well as showing it. Unlimited, and editable by you.

College virtual open days

Custom interfaces

Menus, maps and section pages designed around your brand and your building, so a 60-scene campus is as easy to explore as a single room.

Aerial virtual tours

Aerial drone 360s

An aerial scene from up to 120 metres is the most popular way to open a tour: the whole site in one view, with hotspots down into each building.

Virtual tour navigation schools

Navigation that fits

Illustrated maps, floor plans, lists or aerial views. We choose the route so any space is reachable in a couple of clicks.

Mobile virtual tours

Calls to action

Fixed buttons for booking a visit, calling or enquiring, plus hotspot links to the pages that convert. Tracked in the built-in analytics.

Matterport google addon

Google Street View

The same imagery can be published to Google Maps so your building is discoverable from your Business Profile as well as your website.

Two ways to build it

Standard bespoke or 360 Studio?

Both start with the same photography, but they are different styles of tour, built and navigated differently, and they suit different projects.

Standard bespoke tour

Built offline by our team as a finished, self-contained tour and supplied for your website, intranet or kiosk. Content is fixed at launch and we make any later changes for you. Best for smaller projects and single locations, with no yearly fee.

  • From £350, no ongoing fee
  • Best for smaller projects and single locations
  • Hosted on your site or ours
  • Changes made by us on request

360 Studio tour

A different style of tour, hosted on 360 Studio, our platform with a content management system. Your team edits scenes, hotspots and branding, duplicates the tour for new audiences and reads the analytics. Best for larger projects and anything that needs updating regularly.

  • From £750, plus a platform and hosting licence from £150 a year
  • Best for larger projects and campuses
  • Edit it yourself whenever things change
  • Analytics, collaborators and password protection
How it works

From first message to live tour

Four steps, one named contact, and a clear price before anything is booked.

  1. 1

    Quote

Tell us about the building and what the tour is for. A clear, no-obligation price, with no travel charges anywhere in mainland UK.

  2. 2

    Plan

We agree the scene list, navigation and hotspot content with you. Our preparation checklist gets each space camera-ready.

  3. 3

    Shoot

A photographer captures each scene on full-frame DSLR kit, five to ten minutes per scene. Drone 360s and still photography can be added on the same visit.

  4. 4

    Build and launch

Every scene is individually edited and built into your branded tour. A standard bespoke tour is supplied for your website; a 360 Studio tour goes live on our platform with editing access for your team. Allow one to four weeks depending on size.

Testimonials

Every project we take on is treated with the same care and attention to detail, no matter its size or sector. Whether it’s a small independent retailer, a school, a charity, or a large multinational organisation, our goal is always to deliver high-quality virtual tours that showcase spaces at their best.

The team made the whole process simple, providing an overview of the service and how it can best support our organisation whilst answering any concerns with practical solutions to comply with internal checks. Not only did 360 Virtual Tours offer great value in the initial setup, but once the photography was completed, the onboarding of the virtual tour was detailed yet well explained to make sure we got the most out of the tool. We can’t thank Matt and 360 Virtual Tours enough.Dominic WebsterNSPCC National Training Centre
We were delighted with the service provided by 360 Virtual Tours from the very start. We were on quite a tight schedule and the team made every effort to meet our deadline, which they did without a hitch. The process from beginning to end was communicated exceptionally and the end results far exceeded our expectations!Jessica FurlongLuna Students
360 Virtual tours have undertaken, at very short notice, some virtual store tours for 3 of our flagship stores. The attention to detail and pace of delivery is second to none. This has provided us a great, innovative platform to virtually showcase our latest store design and propositions to our senior leadership team so they can walk the store as a customer without impacting the space or our customers in store.Ian KeyworthPoundland
FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Just get in touch, or even better, book a video consultation.

What is a bespoke virtual tour?

A bespoke virtual tour is a fully customised 360 experience designed around your organisation’s spaces, branding, and goals. Each scene is photographed professionally and built using our 360 Studio CMS, or desktop based software if a CMS isn't required, allowing you to include interactive hotspots, media, links, and tailored navigation.

How much does a bespoke virtual tour cost?

Pricing depends on the number of 360 scenes required, but smaller projects often cost under £1,000 . Each tour is quoted individually based on your needs, and we always provide clear, transparent pricing before any work begins. You can also request our virtual tour pricing guide to help estimate costs.

What are hotspots, and why are they important?

Hotspots are interactive elements you can add to your tours that contain additional still imagery, text, galleries, video, PDF downloads or URL links. These can be small and succinct, or more advanced and packed full of information on the area being viewed. You can add multiple information points to each 360 scene.

How long does a shoot take?

It takes our professional photographers 1-2 minutes to shoot an individual 360 scene. This does not include the time it takes to ensure the area is ready for shooting. This may include moving chairs or furniture, clearing any boxes or storage away and removing personal items rom the area. We provide you with a preparation guide before each shoot takes place.

How long does it take to create a bespoke virtual tour?

Most projects are completed within two to four weeks , depending on size and scheduling. Larger or multi-site tours may take a little longer, but we’ll always agree clear timelines before starting.

Can we include people within our tour?

Absolutely. Your tours can either be free of people, focusing on the spaces themselves, or packed full of your staff, students, scientists or even animals! We will provide you with the best advice dependant on the setting of each area.

Can you edit images to remove items or blemishes?

Yes, we can. As standard we remove blemishes such as floor stains and wall scrapes/scuffs. We blur out information you may not want to display and can even remove pictures or posters that you didn't take down on the day of shooting. For a small fee we can even perform complex edits such as removing large items from a room or removing vehicles from external shots. Our most complex edit performed to date included removing scaffolding from a building and adding in windows to match the rest of the facility!

Can we update our virtual tour after it’s created?

Yes. When your tour is built on our 360 Studio CMS , you can make updates at any time. Add or edit hotspots, change text, upload new media, or duplicate your tour for different audiences, all without needing to contact us for changes.

Should we choose a standard bespoke tour or 360 Studio?

Choose a standard bespoke tour, from £350, for smaller projects and single locations that will stay as they are: it is built offline, supplied for your website and carries no yearly fee, and the price simply rises with the number of scenes for larger spaces. Choose 360 Studio, a different style of tour hosted on our platform, for larger projects, campuses and any tour your team will want to update regularly; it starts from £750 plus a platform and hosting licence from £150 a year.
