Virgin Active Virtual Tours

New Virgin Active website featuring our 360 degree imagery.

Just launched, the new Virgin Active website features something of a first in the field of Virtual Tours, the use of the Google Streetview API.  We were approached by developers McCormack & Morrison to help them produce 360 Imagery capable of being used in the Google API.  McCormack & Morrison were keen to utilise the Google technology in order to take advantage of it’s cross platform capability.  As photographers and not developers, we were very excited to see what could be done with this alternative way of showcasing a tour.

We made some very early (4am!) visits to 3 typical Virgin Active locations around the country and shot a number of 360 degree panoramas.  These were then sent over to the team at McCormack & Morrison who developed them into Streetview styled Virtual Tours.
