TWI Technology Centre Virtual Tour
Industry, Virtual ToursThe Welding Institute came to us with a brief for creating an interactive virtual tour for one of their advanced Technology Centres. They required a way of showing the processes and equipment that each one of their centres has on offer, as well as a new way of displaying more common forms of media such as video and PDF documents.
We shot 6 separate 360 scenes across several areas within the Technology Centre, each one important due to the machines and processes that are contained within them. The user will navigate to an area of interest and get a fully immersive view. Within each scene we placed a single interactive information point. This information point contains a description of the area along with key videos and any associated PDF’s. With user engagement considerably longer on a virtual tour compared to a normal web page, these various forms of media are much more likely to be viewed.
Due to sensitive material in certain scenes we restricted the field of view to protect TWI assets.
We wrapped the tour up in a custom tour skin using TWI fonts and colours. Take a look at the completed tour below.
