Oakwood Climbing Centre Matterport 3D Virtual Tour

Oakwood Climbing Centre in Berkshire contacted us to explore the options of capturing their amazing space for online promotion. We explored several different options for them with the team eventually deciding on a Matterport 3D scanned virtual tour.

Matterport virtual tours allow you to fully scan your location, creating an accurate 3D model of the space. Users can navigate through the building using an accurate 3D model accurate to 1% of the real thing! Switching to ‘Dollhouse’ view allows the user to manipulate the model in its entirety, something no other virtual tour product allows.

Scanning this space took around 2 hours, completed just before the centre opened to the public. Once shot, we processed the scan to remove any artefacts and areas not required for the final representation. Once processed, Mattertags were added providing a description of the various pieces of climbing equipment on offer.
