I grab a quick shot before filming begins…

Today I dropped in on a shoot just before filming began, and I was lucky enough to get a shot of some of the equipment before it was carted off for use.

Above is just a snapshot of our video equipment, although it does give a good overview of some of the key equipment we use on set.  We are currently shooting our first few productions, and can’t wait to show them to you.

As you can imagine, we mix and match equipment dependant on the project.  For example, for video tours and location walkthroughs, the steadicam equipment we have is perfect.  The operator wears a support vest, that has attached to it a mechanical arm.  On top of this arm sits a weighted fly-cam that holds the camera in place.  It allows you to walk at variable speeds and still enjoy a smooth, steady shot.

For grand sweeps and downward shots (perfect for entrance or starter shots!), our camera cranes fit the bill.  We can perform camera movements impossible by a sole camera operator.  We also use camera dollies (wheels for our tripods!) that allow us to follow specific actors/presenters or move quickly and cleanly on smooth surfaces.

Other useful pieces of kit include light rigs (an indoor rig is shown above) and a 7ft and 14ft camera crane and more sound equipment care to list!

Our video production service is a recent addition to our creative services, so why not visit our video production page and get in touch.
