It’s been our best year yet, so we’ve rounded up a few of our favourites from the past 12 months…

2011 has been an incredible year for us, with more projects completed than our first 2 years combined.  We’ve shot for such a diverse group of clients, from top performing educational establishments to some of the UK’s largest companies.  We’ve also gone through a large branding transformation and launched a brand new website, not to mention running one of the busiest virtual tour blogs in the UK.  We’ve listed down a fraction of our favourites below, along with a link to their blog post from the past 12 months.

University of Huddersfield

January saw us complete one of our largest tour projects to date, over 60 scenes for the University of Huddersfield.  The tour featured a custom designed navigation map with roll-over interaction, perfect for navigating the campus locations.

Abingdon School

January also saw us complete this fantastic tour for Abingdon School in Oxfordshire.  Another tour that shows our dedication to great tour skins, as well as great tour photography.  The navigation in this tour features 2 options, giving the user complete control over how they move around the school.  We also completed a tour later in the year for Abingdon Prep School, which you can view here.

Impact Lighting

February took us to the showroom and product testing area for Impact Lighting, one of the UK’s largest supplier of lighting, lasers and special effects equipment.  Anyone who has used a DSLR camera professionally will know the dangers of lasers and camera sensors, one wrong move and your equipment can be permanently damaged!  This shoot features a product selection element, including info points and an effects changer, allowing you to view the room in 4 different states!

White Hart Royal

March, and this month we were lucky enough to spend some time in the Cotswolds.  The White Hart Royal is a luxury hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh, they required a multi scene tour of the hotel to gain trust during the booking process.  We were also lucky enough to spend a night at the hotel during the shoot, and we can definitely confirm the service matches the luxurious 16C décor!

Royal Academy of Music

May saw us at yet another top educational establishment, The Royal Academy of Music.  We spent 2 days covering a range of locations to replace an out-dated and low quality tour produced by another supplier.  The sound of classical music throughout the halls was like something out of a movie, with students belting out classics in every corner, a fantastic experience!

King’s College Chapel

We were delighted in June to be asked by King’s College Cambridge to photograph their famous Chapel.  This month also saw us introduce a more advanced HTML5 format, giving users the ability to view more detailed tours and navigate on mobile devices.  The King’s College Chapel tour was shot in HDR, built in both flash and HTML5, and featured a great navigation format using the Chapels own floor plan.  We were then invited back later in the year to shoot the grounds, you can view that tour here.

Rock Mill Estate

The Rock Mill Estate is one of North Devon’s best luxury rentals, perfect for large groups or those that just like the finer things in life.  Every feature of this home has been thought out, from the well equipped modern kitchen to the dining room table that doubles as a speaker system.

Clarks Shoes Headquarters

In July we were asked by marketing company ThirtyThree to shoot a set of still images at the Clarks Shoes HQ in Street, Somerset.  The HQ is a treasure trove of unique artwork, old Clarks machinery and fantastic open spaces perfect for designing the whole Clarks range of shoes.  This year saw us produce more and more still images for clients such as Park Inn, Clarks and other well known clients, we hope to continue this growth into 2012.

You can also view the tour we produced at a Clarks retail outlet here, produced in December.

Masseys Booksellers

2011 saw us shoot at many bars including 10 Walkabout locations, several Highlight comedy clubs and a few independent bars thrown in for good measure.  One of our favourites was Masseys Booksellers, in Leeds.  This unique bar is a plethora of strange, bizarre and mesmerising features.  We shot a single scene tour and a number of great stills for the bar.  This project has proven very popular on our site with thousands of views since it’s upload in August.

Plas Dinas Country House

Another August shoot took us to the wonderful North Wales countryside to shoot the Plas Dinas Guest House.  Some of you may know this house already, having been featured in Channel 4′s ’4 in a bed’ series.  This tour was shot in HDR and produced in both flash and HTML5 format for nearly 100% compatibility.

NFU Mutual

September was one of our busiest months since our creation back in 2008-2009, with over 25 active projects on the go.  This NFU Mutual Agency tour was a mix of both still and tour imagery, combined to create a really simple but very effective insight into how an Agency operates.

Carlton Club London

October saw us shooting in the UK’s oldest and most revered conservative clubs, the Carlton Club.  With notable members including David Cameron and Lady Thatcher, it’s not everyday that photographers are invited through the doors.  We shot some great tours for their hospitality side, and produced them in both flash and HTML5 format.

Virgin Active

November was another great month, and our work with developers McCormack & Morrison was a first in the world of virtual tour creation.  Our 360 photography was used in the Google Streetview API to produce a great tour of 3 Virgin Active locations.

Here’s to 2012!

We’ve already got loads of exciting shoots booked in for January alone, and we can’t wait to get started on another great year.  We want to say a big thank you to all our clients, just because you haven’t been mentioned in our blog doesn’t mean we don’t think your projects worthy.  We simply can’t blog every project we produce!
